KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Azlan Komeng revealed that he lost about RM10,000 when he was involved in a road accident in Kuala Lipis, Pahang last Friday.
Through a post on TikTok, Azlan said that the cash was in a black bag.
"I didn't think about the money at first, I remembered the money only after my wife and I went to make payments for household items and we found that the money was gone.
"After the accident, I was at the Kuala Lipis Police Station but my friends went to check the car again and it was empty.
"When I asked the police at the time of the incident, they said they just took our things without checking the contents," he said.
Azlan's wife Nur Nilam Ortiz said that they first noticed the money was missing when they were about to pay for their medical expenses.
According to Nilam, they did not find the black bag in the vehicle and the police were unable to locate it.
She said that the bag's content was likely thrown out of the car during the accident.
"I hope God will open the hearts of the people who found the bag to return the money to us," she said.
Nilam added that the money was to cover her husband's surgery expenses of almost RM40,000.
Azlan and Nilam were involved in an accident when their car collided with a police lorry last Friday.
Azlan had to undergo surgery on his right hand and suffered fractures on both legs while Nilam only suffered minor injuries.
