KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Azlan Komeng and his wife, Nur Nilam Ortiz, have accepted the loss of RM10,000 and publicly forgiven whoever may have taken the money.
The cash, earned from their business, was kept in a bag that went missing on the day of their car accident in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, on Oct 12.
In a recent TikTok video, Nur Nilam shared that they have not received any calls or messages from someone intending to return the money.
"We realise we're unlikely to see that money again. After thinking it through, we've decided to make it 'halal'—we forgive the person who took it, for the sake of Allah and the Messenger," Nur Nilam said.
She further expressed that they've made peace with the incident, trusting in God to provide for them.
"We forgive so our paths may be clear, and we hope for ease and blessings in this world and the hereafter. "We no longer wish to dwell on this. If it's meant to be ours, it will return. If not, we move forward," she added.
Azlan, recovering from his injuries, had initially mentioned the loss in a hospital update.
He noted that the money, which they had earned through their business that day, could have fallen out of their car during the accident.
He appealed to anyone who might find it to contact him or Nur Nilam.
In the accident, which occurred around 2am, Azlan was driving a Perodua Kancil that collided with a police truck.
He sustained injuries to his head, face, elbow, hip, and left leg, while Nur Nilam suffered injuries to her ribs, face, and head.
