#SHOWBIZ: 'Growing up, I never had a father figure as my guide' – Nora Danish

KUALA LUMPUR: With her father passing away when she was young, actress Nora Danish says she never had a father figure in her life while growing up.

The 42-year-old actress shared this on a recent podcast session conducted by fellow celebrity, Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor.

Nora added that she grew up in an all-female household made up of her widowed mother and elder sisters.

"So I never had the chance to see how a father would take care of my mother, and that robbed me of an example of how a man should care for his family.

"So when I grew up and got married, I had no reference of how parents would interacted with each other.

"That part was non-existent in my formative years," she said.

Nora added that if her earlier circumstances had been different, maybe she could have handled her previous marriages better.

In June, Nora and Nedim Nazri divorced amicably. They married in 2017 and have a son, Mohamed Neqayl, now six.

Prior to that, she was married to Datuk Rizal Ashram Ramli between 2006 and 2008. They have a son, Putra Rayqal, 15.
