KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian actress Pevita Pearce married a Malaysian businessman named Mirzan Meer last Sunday.
In a recent news report, the 32-year-old artiste's husband Mirzan is apparently the son of a well-known couple among Malaysian high society, Datuk Seri Meer Sadik Habib and Datin Seri Zarida Noordin.
They are the owners of the popular local jewellery brand Habib Jewels.
The newlyweds wore a matching white traditional Malay ensemble at the solemnisation ceremony, which was kept private and attended only by family members and close friends.
In the caption of her recent Instagram post which she shared some photographs from the special day, Pevita wrote: "Today, in the quiet of love, surrounded by those who mean the most, we became one."
The post received more than one million likes from well-wishers.
Some fellow celebrities from Indonesia, including singer Afgan, were also among the guests at the ceremony.
Pevita was named Best Actress at the Bandung Film Festival in 2014 for her role in the epic film, Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck.
