KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Fazura expressed disappointment over false accusations directed at Norashikin Mohd Aziz, mother of young actress Puteri Balqis, suggesting she used prohibited substances.
The 41-year-old artiste, whose full name is Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, urged those responsible to reflect on the harm they've caused and consider issuing an apology.
Fazura voiced her frustration over the lack of empathy shown by netizens who made these accusations without considering the consequences.
"People speak without looking left or right, with no thought to tomorrow. They type without thinking about others' feelings or the repercussions," she shared in a recent InstaStory, according to Kosmo.
"Imagine if this happened to you. Use your brain, heart, and knowledge before passing judgment."
Fazura also offered words of support to Balqis and her mother, encouraging them to stay strong.
"May my little sister Balqis find strength! Believe that Allah sees and hears everything, and every act has its reward," she added.
Responding to Fazura's support, 17-year-old Puteri Balqis expressed her gratitude.
"Thank you, Kak Faz. May you and Fatima always be protected from hurtful words."
Previously, a video of Balqis with her mother on TikTok drew unfounded comments, with some claiming Norashikin's red eyes indicated drug use.
Such allegations have reportedly caused the mother undue stress and concern for her well-being.
