KUALA LUMPUR: Award-winning actress Puteri Balqis Azizi, 17, sympathises with four-year-old Nur Fatima Aisya, the daughter of actor Fattah Amin and actress Nur Fazura.
Puteri Balqis, whose parents are also divorced, recently penned a poignant poem addressed to Fatima on Instagram encouraging her to be strong in facing her parents' recent divorce.
Puteri Balqis said in her poem that Fatima should stay resilient, and that her parents will always be there for her.
"Their love for you is incomparable. No matter how many naysayers say negative things about them, they will never stop loving you," said Puteri Balqis.
"Be good to them always, when you grow up you will definitely know them better and not blame anyone."
Puteri Balqis added that Fatima was a lot luckier than herself, as she had both her parents on her side.
"I'm sure in their hearts they will someday apologise to you because you're their precious gem.
"Your story is a far cry from the pain of a real broken child."
Puteri Balqis also thanked Fazura and Fattah for raising Fatima well.
Fattah and Fazura were divorced on Oct 7.
They were married on Nov 27, 2017.
