KUALA LUMPUR: American TV host and comedian Nick Cannon sure knows how to take care of his family jewels and is proud to announce it.
The 43-year-old father of 12 recently told 'Entertainment Tonight' that he wanted to draw attention to the recent news of his US$10mil (RM47mil) insurance policy on his testicles.
"We know how to make noise out here, and that's exactly what we did."
"I had to insure my most valuable assets.
"Because you hear about like all these different celebrities insuring their legs... so I was like, 'Hey, well, I got to insure my most valuable body part," he said.
Fellow celebrity Heidi Klum had previously clarified that it was a client who took out a US$2mil policy for her legs.
As for Cannon, the policy was taken out by a personal care company Dr. Squatch.
Cannon joked that he's just "making sure nothing goes wrong" with his private parts, although he doesn't have plans to expand his family anytime soon.
Los Angeles Times wrote that his procreation endeavours have been the subject of many memes and much discourse online.
He has leaned into the jokes over the years, appearing in a 2022 commercial with Ryan Reynolds to whip up a cocktail called "The Vasectomy," a.k.a. "the mother of all cocktails," and comforting Elon Musk last year after the tech mogul welcomed twins.
