KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Shakilla Khoriri recently took to Instagram to express her frustration over an incident at a petrol station.
The 35-year-old shared that a motorist driving a white Toyota Vellfire had instructed the station's staff to stop her from filling up fuel, mistaking her for a Singaporean trying to benefit from Malaysia's lower fuel prices.
"He stared at me for a while, then spoke to the staff," she recounted in an Instagram Story.
"Apparently, he told them not to let me fuel up, assuming I was from Singapore."
Shakilla explained that the person likely misinterpreted her car's registration plate, which begins with "SK," as a Singaporean vehicle.
"Next time, check your facts before jumping to conclusions," she wrote.
"Do you really think a plate starting with SK is from Singapore? Have you never been to Sabah?"
