SINGER Hasif Upin, who is seeking a new platform to showcase his talent, auditioned for reality show 'Calpis One In A Million' (OIAM) at the recent Jom Heboh Carnival in Johor Baru.
After his performance at the 38th Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) last year, Hasif want to challenge himself further.
Although singing the duet 'Waktu' with Ziana Zain at AJL was no small feat, Hasif hopes to entertain fans more through OIAM.
"My main goal in joining OIAM is to entertain audiences. Singing one song at AJL 38 wasn't enough for me.
"I believe participating in a reality show like OIAM will help people to get to know who Hasif Upin truly is, and it gives me a chance to prove my talent," he said.
The 33-year-old content creator and actor added that he has been following OIAM for years and is excited to join now that it's back after a 15-year hiatus.
Other singing competitions Hasif has taken part in are 'Mikrofon Impian' and 'The Audition'.
With auditions being held both online and in-person, OIAM will continue to tour to five other locations across Malaysia, including Sabah, Penang, Pahang, and Kuala Lumpur, on the weekends from Nov 9 to 17.
