KUALA LUMPUR: In a Syariah High Court ruling, actor Fattah Amin was granted the right to visit and spend overnight time with his daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, following his divorce from actress Nur Fazura.
The couple, who married in November 2017, parted ways in October, with their four-year-old daughter's custody now finalised amicably.
Syariah lawyer Fakhrul Azman Abu Hassan, representing Fazura, confirmed that the court awarded full custody of Fatima to Fazura, with structured visitation rights provided to Fattah.
"The court has formalised an agreement allowing Fattah to visit his daughter three times a week and stay overnight twice a month," the lawyer told BH Online.
This agreement, initially read at the Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari, was formally recorded as a court order today.
Fakhrul Azman emphasised that there were no custody disputes between Fazura and Fattah, and both parties had agreed to these terms from the start.
"There has been no conflict over custody, and the arrangement was mutually decided and resolved amicably," he added.
Both Fazura and Fattah attended the proceedings at the Syariah High Court in Shah Alam this morning, and Fazura, according to her lawyer, is ready to move forward.
"She is grateful for the smooth resolution and wants to focus on her future," Fakhrul Azman said.
