#SHOWBIZ: Syura's husband suffers severe burns in gas explosion incident

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Syura Badron is enduring a challenging time after her husband, Muhammad Farizat, suffered severe burns following a gas canister explosion at their accommodation in Perlis last Friday.

The incident occurred as Farizat attempted to adjust the gas stove's temperature while heating porridge for their son.

The unexpected explosion caused second-degree burns to his face, legs, and hands, throwing him backward from the force of the blast.

Syura, 38, expressed her gratitude that she and their son were unharmed during the incident.

"I should have been the one there, but he took on this test. Thank God he protected us," she told Harian Metro.

She admitted it was difficult to witness her husband's injuries, particularly on his face and legs.

Initially treated at hospitals in Perlis and Alor Setar, Kedah, Farizat has since been transferred to a medical centre in Sunway, Selangor, to be closer to family.

Despite being in stable condition, Syura revealed her husband developed a fever, raising concerns about a potential infection.

"I'm worried, but I continue to pray for his recovery," she added.

In a heartfelt message on social media, Syura described Farizat as the "most amazing man" she has ever met, praising his resilience even in pain.

"Even when you're suffering, you still manage to smile for me and the children. May God ease your pain and grant you a speedy recovery," she wrote.

Syura also shared a video of the aftermath of the explosion, which showed extensive damage to their accommodation, including shattered windows and a cracked ceiling.

Syura, whose real name is Zuraidah Badron, married Farizat on Jan 22, 2022, and they share a one-year-old son, Muhammad Umar Eussof.

She also has three children – Nurul Dania Irdani, 17, Nurul Qaisara Sofia, 15, and Muhammad Irfan Aryan, 13 – from her previous marriage.

The singer has asked the public to pray for her husband's recovery and believes there is wisdom behind this ordeal.

"God is good, and I hope for healing and strength for us to overcome this test," she said.
