BACHOK: A couple and their two children suffered burns on their necks and hands in a fire at their home in Kampung Gong Hilir early today.
A spokesman from the Bachok Fire and Rescue station said the incident happened around 5.30am.
The spokesman said 14 firemen were rushed to the scene soon after receiving an emergency call at 5.48am.
"The house was about 50 per cent destroyed when the firemen arrived at the scene about 10 minutes later.
"They managed to control the fire from spreading to other nearby homes within 30 minutes.
"As a result of the fire, a couple and their adult children, a male and a female, suffered burns," said the spokesman.
The spokesman also said the four were sent to a nearby clinic for treatment.
The cause of the fire and the losses incurred are still under investigation.
