KUALA LUMPUR: The horror film Anak Perjanjian Syaitan 2 directed by Dr Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri has successfully made its way to cinemas in Cambodia.
Anak Perjanjian Syaitan 2 premiered in Cambodian cinemas yesterday with Khmer translations, promising an extraordinary horror experience for the country's audiences.
8TV Chief Operating Officer, Film & Content Distribution, Media Prima Television Networks Kevin Foo said in a statement yesterday that the screening of the film in Cambodia marked another success for the country's film industry.
"This is the result of close collaboration between Grand Brilliance Studios and Primeworks Studios who continue to strive to bring local films to the global stage.
"We hope this film will be well received by audiences in Cambodia and raise Malaysia's name in the international film market," he said.
"This is a big achievement for us and reflects the hard work of all parties involved in this production.
"We are confident that this film will give an extraordinary horror experience to audiences in Cambodia and strengthen Malaysian films globally," he said.
The film stars Eyka Farhana, Alif Satar, Fasha Sandha, Azlan Komeng, Dian P. Ramlee, Azizah Mahzan and Shaharuddin Thamby.
It tells the story of a young woman, Azlinda played by Eyka, who fights the supernatural forces that have haunted her since her childhood.
The film was screened in Pakistan on Nov 1 and was well-received by moviegoers there.
In Malaysia and Brunei, the film was among the top 10 best-selling films for seven consecutive weeks after premiering early this year.
