ICON Entertainment has announced the addition of a third day to the highly anticipated GenKRU Concert, now set to take place on May 10.
This decision follows an overwhelming response from fans, with tickets for the initially planned May 3 and 4 shows selling out in record time.
Founder Iman Tang revealed that the additional date was agreed upon after numerous fan requests.
"We didn't anticipate such overwhelming support, with endless inquiries on social media," Iman said.
"This move fulfils the dreams of loyal fans who missed out on tickets for the first two nights."
Iman added that the decision was made in collaboration with KRU members Norman, Yusry and Edry, who were eager to meet the demand.
"This third day is not about being opportunistic but about showcasing the power and influence of local musicians.
"A three-day concert of this scale is a milestone for our music scene."
The GenKRU Concert marks KRU's return to the stage after six years, with their last mega-performance at Istana Budaya in 2018.
Initially planned as a one-night event at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil, the concert expanded to three nights after tickets for both the first and second shows sold out in under an hour.
