SUNWAY LAGOON, SUBANG JAYA
Located in Bandar Sunway, just 25 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, the theme lies in the perfect destination for adrenaline rush lovers and water activity enthusiasts. ZOO NEGARA, GOMBAK
Known as the National Park of Malaysia, Zoo Negara is managed by the Malaysian Zoological Society, a non-governmental organisation established to create the first local zoo for Malaysians. It covers about 110 acres of land which is situated 13km from Kuala Lumpur. Zoo Negara is home to 5137 animals of which from 476 different species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Zoo Negara has transformed itself to an open concept zoo with over 90% of its animals kept in spacious exhibits with landscape replicating their natural habitat.
FARM IN THE CITY, SERI KEMBANGAN
Farm in the City is located in Seri Kembangan about 20 minutes’ drive from Kuala Lumpur. Farm in the City is the place for visitors to enjoy a non-traditional zoo experience. BUKIT MALAWATI, KUALA SELANGOR
Bukit Malawati or Malawati Hill is located in the coastal town of Kuala Selangor, a 30-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur. The second Sultan of Selangor had a fortress built in the late 18th century on Malawati Hill to protect the state from intruders. The high ground provides a vantage point of view of the Straits of Malacca. There is a tram ride service on weekends that run up the hill. There are many attractions in Malawati Hill such as the light house, the royal mausoleum, an observation tower, a museum, the 200-year-old Sena tree and not to forget the friendly monkeys.
KIDZANIA KUALA LUMPUR, PETALING JAYA
KidZania is a family-themed indoor theme park that first started out in Mexico. Today there are several Kidzania’s around the world and this is Malaysia’s first outlet. Located at Curve NX, Mutiara Damansara, KidZania Kuala Lumpur or (KidZania KL) is about 25 minutes away from Kuala Lumpu. The award-winning KidZania is an edutainment centre designed to show and encourage kids to take part in having professional jobs, giving them an interactive learning and role-play experiences.
