KUALA LUMPUR: Socar Mobility Malaysia appoints Shylendra Nathan as its new chief executive officer (CEO) effective this month.
Shylendra has 24 years of experience in the Internet and Communications Technology (ICT) field with 15 years dedicated to building Internet marketplaces in Southeast Asia and South Asia.
He was most recently REA Group Malaysia's general manager operating iProperty.com Malaysia Sdn Bhd which was acquired by PropertyGuru Group. He was also CEO at 701Search and Onekyat in Myanmar.
Other previous roles include being the head of agency relations and then industry head of technology, telco and government at Google, and Mudah.my's general manager.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde and an undergraduate degree in Information Technology majoring in Software Engineering from the Southern Cross University.

Shylendra as the CEO will oversee the overall operations of the group which includes Socar as well as Trevo. He will report to Socar Mobility Malaysia's board of directors led by chairman Max Choi Myoung Hwa.
