SHAH ALAM: Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) has announced the appointment of Adam Saffian Ghazali as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective today.
In a statement, Air Selangor confirmed that Adam Saffian would replace acting CEO Abas Abdullah, who served from Jan 1, 2023 to June 30.
Adam Saffian brings 24 years of experience in the water services and utilities industry, having held various key positions such as Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad CEO, General Manager of Special Projects at MMC Corporation Berhad and CEO of Alam Flora Sdn Bhd.
He holds a Master's degree in Applied Taxation from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor's degree in Business (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Technology Sydney.
"Adam Saffian is also a certified accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants," the statement read.
In the same statement, Adam Saffian said he looks forward to joining Air Selangor and is committed to ensuring every drop of water is meaningful for the 9.3 million users in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
"Together, we will focus on improving service quality, embracing innovative approaches and ensuring sustainable water management for both current and future generations," he said.
