SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Menteri Besar's office confirmed receiving a resignation letter from PKR exco Rodziah Ismail today.
In a statement, Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said he had received an official resignation letter from the Batu Tiga assemblyman with effect from today.
Her resignation, he pointed out, was valid according to Article 53(7) of the Selangor state constitution that states any state executive councillor can resign at any time.
"We thank Rodziah for her contribution and service during the time she was a Selangor exco," he said.
Khalid had earlier sacked five excos Datuk Teng Chang Khim, Ean Yong Hian Wah and V. Ganabatirau from DAP, and Dr Daroyah Alwi and Elizabeth Wong from PKR on Tuesday.
