RCI: UPKO to propose solutions on influx of illegal immigrants

KOTA KINABALU: The United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (UPKO) will present their proposed solutions on the influx of illegal immigrants to working committee after they have obtained the full Royal Commission Inquiry report.

The working committee will be chaired by deputy chief minister Tan Sri Pairin Kitingan.

Its acting president Datuk Madius Tangau said among the main proposal would be to re-call and re-issue all the identification cards of the people of Sabah.

“Today is a historic day for Malaysians in Sabah as it shows of real political will concerning the influx of foreign illegal immigrants in our Land Below the Wind.

“However, this is only the beginning of the end concerning the seemingly perennial complex issue. This is not mission accomplished yet,” he said in statement.
