TMJ bans against Inter Johor Fan supporter

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Football Association has imposed a life ban on a group of fans calling themselves the Inter Johor Firm (IJF) from entering the Larkin stadium here.

This is in response to their act of hooliganism at the end of the AFF Suzuki 2014 football semifinals between Malaysia and Vietnam at the Shah Alam stadium on Sunday night.

In a statement posted on the Johor Southern Tigers official facebook wall early today, it is stated that the Johor FA and the Johor police, with the blessing of the Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, were against the activities of any individuals or extremists which may negatively affect the image of Johor.

The Johor FA likened IJF's action to a group of trouble-makers.

“We will ban them for life from coming to any matches held at the Larkin Stadium and also to all venues involving matches of the Johor Darul Ta'zim football team,” said the statement.

The statement also quoted a decree by Tunku Ismail:

“Whoever found to have tarnishing the name and reputation of Johor will be dealt with immediately with the full force of the law and also will not be recognised as Johoreans.

“These people who have brought disgrace to the State ought to be despised by all Johoreans.”

The Johor FA hit out at anyone or organisation that promotes hooliganism.
