Gary Robbat fined, suspended 3 months; JDT gets RM100k penalty

PETALING JAYA: National midfielder Gary Steven Robbat is banned for three months and fined RM50,000 by the Football Association of Malaysia today for signing contracts with two Super League teams.

FAM also dismissed Kedah's claim on the player on the basis that Gary Steven's club was Young Tigers C, FAM's development team, where he is deemed to have begun his football career.

The players status committee fined Johor Darul Tazim RM100,000 and issued a stern warning to Pahang for signing Gary Steven when the Young Tigers player had not been released from his contract by FAM.

FAM said all contracts signed by Gary Steven, whose suspension begins today, are null and void.

However, Gary Steven is free to sign with any team once his ban ends and can be registered to play in the April transfer window.
