KUALA LUMPUR: Popular celebrity and TV host Sarimah Ibrahim tied the knot with Tunku Nadzimuddin Tunku Mudzaffar, a member of the Negri Sembilan royal family, in a solemnisation ceremony which took place at the Prince Hotel here today.
Tunku Nadzimuddin, recited his vows just once in the presence of Istana Negara marriage official Ustaz Nik Ridzuan Nik Mohamad.
Sarimah's father Ibrahim Haji Ahmad served as the witness to the ceremony. The dowry was RM6,000.
Tunku Nadzimuddin's parents Tunku Kecil Besar Tunku Datuk Mudzaffar Tunku Mustapha and Tunku Dara Tunku Tan Sri Naquiah Tuanku Ja'afar were also present.
Guests comprised of around 70 close family members and friends of the couple. They included Tunku Ampuan of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Najihah Tunku Besar Burhanuddin, Tunku Laksamana Tunku Naqiyuddin Tuanku Ja'afar and Sarimah's mother Elizabeth Hanlon.
Sarimah, 37, and Tunku Nadzimuddin, 43, better known as Tunku Jamie, were engaged in September last year. Sarimah, of Malaysian-Irish parentage, currently hosts the women entertainment magazine Bella on ntv7.
