On June 20, the Malaysian Medics International (MMI) will be hosting a day-long event called Making An Informed Decision (MAID).
This is for pre-university students who are considering a career in Medicine, to give them an exposure of what they can expect in medical school and beyond.
There will be inspirational talks by four doctors from both the government and private sectors, including a speech on Why I became A Doctor.
The programme, which will take place in Hospital Sungai Buloh, is sponsored by Sunway Medical Centre in collaboration with Taylor's University, MAHSA and Management and Science University.
MMI is a student-led organisation with the aim to connect, educate and cultivate Malaysian medical students all over the world.
Its objective is to provide a professional environment for Malaysian medical students to network, keep themselves updates with latest healthcare issues and develop personal skills essential for their career. The organisation also provides advice for Malaysians who wish to pursue a career in medicine, either locally or internationally.
