KUALA LUMPUR: Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd (PruBSN) has appointed Aman Chowla as its new chief executive officer (CEO).
Aman previously served as the chief operating officer (COO) for PruBSN for three years before his appointment as the COO of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd in 2014.
“Aman has been instrumental in driving the operation and technology strategies for enhancement in customer engagement and servicing,” PruBSN said in a statement today.
“He has over 18 years of experience in regional and line positions with multinational companies in the financial services industry,” it added.
Outgoing CEO Azim Mithani was appointed as the COO of Insurance for Prudential Corporation Asia effective July 1.
PruBSN said it had been the country’s number one family takaful operator for four consecutive years since 2011.
Last year, it had a 33.1 per cent market share with RM340.1 million in new business production.
