SHAH ALAM: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) will open a dedicated business space for Bumiputera entrepreneurs selling digital goods and information technology (IT) gadgets at Anggerik Mall in February next year.
Inspired by MARA Digital Mall, the space, which will place Bumiputera entrepreneurs under one roof, is hoped to also be able to breathe new life and promote the building.
Selangor MARA director Rusnah Yusoff said the trading space, which is located on the second floor, will be opened to 10 selected digital goods and IT entrepreneurs.
"Although MARA Digital Mall is planned to be opened in all states, we will utilise the existing space at Anggerik Mall, considering the development areas in prime locations are limited.
"At the same time, we can also rebrand and promote the location which has lukewarm response from visitors," she said when met at Anggerik Mall, here, today.
Yesterday, Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that MARA Digital Mall, the new IT centre for Bumiputera traders, which began operations a week ago at the Mara Atrium Busana Mall in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman would be expanded to all states next year.
He said this was to enable more Bumiputera traders to market digital goods and information technology (IT) gadgets as there was limited opportunities for Bumiputera traders to do business in IT centres because of the high rentals.
