JOHOR BARU: Visitors to Danga Bay here were treated to a suprise following the appearance of the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's customised Mack truck this afternoon.
The ruler had taken the truck, which arrived here a few days ago, for a spin and stopped at Danga Bay to have lunch at a restaurant there at 12.05 pm.
The truck, a custom-made Super Liner, was estimated to cost around RM1.4 million, making it among the world's most expensive.
The rig contains a host of features including a six-camera CCTV system, two flat screen TVs, a stone-topped kitchen area, double bed and seats with 72,000 stitches of gold thread.
The truck also has a solid gold tiger as its hood ornament.
Sultan Ibrahim spent about an hour and a half at the restaurant, during which time the public gathered around to take a closer look at the truck and to snap pictures with the vehicle, which was built in Australia.
The ruler then spent about 15 minutes minggling with the crowd, who didn't pass up the opportunity to take pictures with the ruler and the truck.
He then drove the truck back to Istana Pasir Pelangi.
