SEREMBAN: A secondary school teacher cheated death when her car was engulfed in a blaze at a school compound this morning.
Norashikin Jantan, from SMK Senawang 3, Taman Forest Heights, ran for help when she noticed thick smoke billowing from the engine of her vehicle.
She escaped unhurt in the 11.32am incident.
Meanwhile, Rahang fire station operation chief N.Sundram said when they arrived at the scene, the vehicle was already destroyed.
“The victim had parked her car at an empty compound after she realised the presence of the smoke. She was unhurt,” he said when contacted.
Seven firemen and a Emergency Medical Rescue Service (ERMS) team was involved in the operation.
