KOTA KINABALU: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) will launch tourism packages under the Visit UMS Year 2016/2017 initiative this April.
The move, an extension of its EcoCampus branding, will see UMS being the first university to launch such an initiative in this country and the region, said vice chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Harun Abdullah.
The launch is done simultaneously with the officiation of the EcoCampus Visitor Information Centre (EVIC) located at the Science and Natural Resources Faculty.
"There will be five tourism packages based on green tourism and nature tourism," said Mohd Harun when delivering his 2016 message to undergraduates and staff of the university today.
