KUALA LUMPUR: If you're a fan of the costumed heroes Power Rangers, then make your way to Resorts World Genting from tomorrow till Sunday.
All five Rangers - Red, Black, Blue, Green and Pink - will make their appearances and be available to meet visitors at noon, 3pm, 5pm and 8pm.
This is a prelude to the Power Rangers Live In Genting 2016 slated to be held at Genting International Showroom from May 28 till June 26 at 4pm and 9pm daily.
The million-ringgit Power Rangers Live In Genting is the first Power Rangers live show in Southeast Asia and the first Dino Charge live show.
The hour-long show features a Japanese and Malaysian cast and crew (25 Japanese and 15 Malaysians) to make the production a reality.
Power Rangers Live In Genting is based on the two Power Rangers television series, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and Dino Charge. The stage performance focuses on the battles between the Power Rangers and Sledge's Army for the Rangers' Energems that hold invincible powers.
The Rangers, five warriors chosen by the Energems to protect Earth from falling into evil hands, find themselves repeatedly in battle with villains Fury, Poisandra and their sidekicks.
One of the Rangers, Pink, is captured by the villains along with an Energem. The fate of the world lies in the hands of the rest of the Rangers — they have to free Pink and regain the Energem.
Photo sessions will be held before and after each show, allowing fans to meet the cast and take pictures. There will also be a wide range of merchandise on sale from costumes to T-shirts, toys and figurines.
Tickets to the Power Rangers Live In Genting 2016 show is priced at RM108 (VIP), RM88 and RM68. Fans can take advantage of the Early Bird promotion valid until May 26, that allows Genting Rewards Card members 20 per cent discount.
