IPOH: Eight people were injured when a van ferrying workers collided with a lorry today.
In the 6.30am incident along the expressway near KM 283.1, the Fire and Recue Department received a distress call at about 6.44am.
“When we arrived at the scene, we saw that all victims have been taken out of the vehicles with the help of other road users,” said the Fire and Rescue Department operation chief Abdul Razak Shaari.
He said there were no victims trapped in the vehicle.
“Four of the victims were taken to the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun using the Emergency Medical Response Service (EMRS) ambulance,” he said.
The operation ended at 7.18am.
