Three-day-old body found in Johor sewage pond

JOHOR BARU: The body of an unidentified man was found in a sewage pond in Taman Setia Indah, here, about 11am today.

Tebrau Fire and Rescue station senior officer Ronney Robert said firemen were notified of the discovery, and a team was sent to the location to help hoist the body out from the pond.

"The man is believed to be in his 30s and has been in the sewage pond for more than three days," Ronney said.

He said a team from the fire and rescue station arrived at the scene at 11.23am. The body was removed in 48 minutes.

"The body was handed over to the police's forensic unit for further action and identification," he said.
