Zainuddin is new Federal police CID deputy director

KUALA LUMPUR: Police today announced the transfer and promotion of nine officers, who will assume their new roles on June 16.

Leading the list is City police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad, who has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner and will take over as Federal police CID deputy director (intelligence and operations).

Zainuddin’s position will be filled by Selangor deputy CID chief (investigations and legislation) Assistant Commissioner Rusdi Mohd Isa, who was promoted to Senior Assistant Commissioner.

Ipoh deputy police chief (operations) Superintendent Anuar Othman will take over as Selangor CID deputy CID chief (investigations/legislation) with the rank of Assistant Commissioner.

Assistant Commissioner Lim Leong Hock of Inspector-General of Police Secretariat (administration) has been promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner.

The Sabah Air Wing Unit will receive a new commander, Superintendent Hamdan Abas who was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner.

Special Branch staff officer Assistant Commissioner Nik Abd Aziz Nik Abd Razak has been promoted to assistant director of investigations, intelligence, and analysis/ legislative procedures with the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner.

Special Branch staff officer Assistant Commissioner Mohd Kamal Mohd Yasin will take over as Federal police Special Branch (E8) deputy director with the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner.

Special Branch staff officer Superintender Mohd Raus Ab Wahab has been appointed as the Coordinator and Intelligence section deputy director at the Prime Minister’s Department.

The department will also receive a new Assistant Commissioner staff for intelligence/operation, Superintendent Azman Omar who has been promoted to Assistant Commissioner.
