MACC chief calls on Muslims to battle against corruption

PUTRAJAYA: In the fight against corruption, the onus is on faithful Muslims, said Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad today.

He said Muslims must rally together and give their all in the battle against graft to protect the sanctity of Islam and the country's wellbeing.

"This is a mandate that devoted Muslims must carry out in the best possible way, as our actions will be judged later by Allah.

"If you are a devoted Muslim, you will not betray the mandate entrusted upon you," he said at a religious programme held in conjunction with the agency's 49th anniversary celebration held at the Putra Mosque.

Dzulkifli later joined more than 300 people to perform the Maghrib, Isya' and hajat prayers, as well as to recite the Yassin.
