SANDAKAN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak wants to see development in Sabah to be on par with other states.
Addressing a Sandakan crowd of thousands today, Najib said Sabah had been lagging behind and every effort will be made to ensure that it catches up.
“I will visit Sabah more often and approve as much allocation as necessary for the state. I see Sabah as having massive potential,” he said at the launch of the Taman Batu Sapi People’s Housing Project (PPR) here.
He also gave his assurance that more developments would be brought to the district, and gave his word that the RM32 million PPR project will herald even more development for Sandakan.
Najib is scheduled to launch the Pan-Borneo Highway in Sipitang tomorrow after his visit to Sandakan.
