KUALA LUMPUR: Avid travellers can now plan ahead for their next vacation with the return of the much anticipated Matta Fair.
The fair, running for three days from March 17 to 19, will be held at the Putra World Trade Centre.
On special offers are trips to 90 popular destinations in Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East. More than 1000 booths will be taking up space at the fair.
Emirates Airline as the official airline for this year is also running a contest, offering lucky travellers exclusive flight tickets to eight destinations.
The grand prize is two roundtrip tickets from Kuala Lumpur to London.
Other winning destinations will be Croatia, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest and Venice.
Matta chief executive officer Phua Tai Neng said the contest will be open to visitors who purchase travel packages at the fair but a minimum purchase of RM300 is required.
“We are pleased to have Emirates on board as the official airline and we would like to thank them for their commitment.
“We hope for a bigger turnout this year as travellers get their planners ready for the coming year,” he said at a press conference held at the Matta headquarters, here today.
Phua also said they were expecting more than 95,000 visitors with a total sales of RM180 million.
Also present at the press conference was Emirates Airline country manager, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei Andrew Bunn.
