KUALA LUMPUR: Police have sealed off the court complex in Jalan Duta due to a bomb threat.
The entire building has been vacated and all entrances closed with yellow police tape.
Several official Proton Perdana believed to be ferrying out judges were seen leaving the building.
Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is on trial for corruption, also left after his case was stood down due to the threat.
He was seen leaving the compound at 12.35pm.
Sentul police chief Assistant Commissioner S. Shanmugamoorthy Chinniah said Taman Dun Dr Ismail police station received the threat via a phone call at about 11am.
“Following the information, they contacted our headquarters for further action.
“We rushed to the scene and ordered for all staff members and civilians to evacuate the building.
“Our bomb squad and K9 unit swept through the entire building and found no threat of explosive objects,” he said in a press conference in front of the lobby.
Police then allowed the public to enter at 2pm.
