High on drugs, woman in Penang slices friend's penis

GEORGE TOWN: A man had his penis sliced by a female friend while both of them were high on drugs at the Bandar Baru Farlim marketplace here early yesterday.

Police were alerted to the incident at about 7.55am yesterday when they received a call from the 47-year-old unemployed victim, informing that his private part had been injured.

Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Soffian Santong said investigation showed the 38-year-old unmarried woman, also unemployed, had met the victim at about 6.30am yesterday at his old office near the marketplace.

The victim was previously a photographer.

"Both the victim and suspect are friends. Investigation showed both of them had consumed drugs and were high. The victim soon fell unconscious.

"When he came about, he found that his genital was bleeding and the suspect was nowhere to be seen.

"It was then he lodged a police report," he said today.

Soffian said the victim sustained slice wounds which was not serious.

He added that the injury was caused by a sharp object.

"The victim is now being treated at the Penang Hospital. He also has a record of receiving psychiatric treatment at the same hospital," he added.

Police also seized several items linked to the case, including a pair of scissors from the scene, believed to have been used to injure the victim.

Soffian said the suspect was picked up in Paya Terubong, Air Itam at 9am yesterday.

The suspect, whose urine tested positive for methamphetamine, had three previous records for drug-related offences.

The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons.
