ISKANDAR PUTERI: Two robbers got away with merely RM10 but caused RM3,500 in damages when they broke into a Starbucks outlet in Nusa Bestari, near here, in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
The robbers, who are still at large, shattered the outlet's glass door entrance to gain entry, costing RM3,500 in damages, but managed to escape with only RM10 which was kept in a box, in the 4am robbery.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Rahmat Ariffin said a report was lodged by the outlet's 23-year-old staff, and investigations under Section 457 of the Penal Code for break-in, are underway to apprehend the suspects.
It is learnt that police are reviewing the outlet's closed-circuit television to establish the suspects' identities.
There were no injuries reported and the suspects were unarmed during the robbery.
The Nusa Bestari Starbucks outlet along Jalan Bestari 2/2 in Taman Nusa Bestari, here, went into operation in November 2021.
