Caprice and Mandy Tattoo face police probe over Ebit allegations

SHAH ALAM: Rapper turned social media influencer 36-year-old Ariz Ramli or Caprice, and Indonesian celebrity known as Mandy Tattoo will be called by the police over a libel suit filed by celebrity preacher, Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew, known as Ebit Lew.

Selangor Deputy Police chief Datuk S.Sasikala Devi said police had taken Ebit's statement as the latter lodged a report yesterday.

She said the police are waiting for an order to investigate (OTI) to continue the probe.

"Yes, because police will call any witness related to the case," she said in a press conference at the Selangor Police Headquarters today.

The investigation will be held under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 under the Communications and Multimedia Act.

"Once we get the OTI, we will complete the investigation and refer to the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) for further action," she added.

Yesterday, it was reported that the police had launched an investigation into a viral video allegedly defaming Ebit Lew for sexual assault claims by a woman from a neighbouring country.

An interview went viral recently about a heavily tattooed woman from a neighbouring country who alleged the preacher had sexually harassed her when she arrived in Malaysia earlier this year.

The video titled 'The Mondy Tattoo interview' has been seen by over 200,000 viewers and counting.
