PETALING JAYA: Police are tracking down a group of supporters involved in a commotion after a football match at a stadium here on Sunday.
Petaling Jaya district deputy police chief Superintendent M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said police had sighted two video recordings of the commotion that went viral at 10.15am yesterday.
"Preliminary investigations found that the incident started immediately after a local league match ended about 11pm on Sunday.
"The commotion resulted in the iron gates at the entrance to the seating area to be damaged," he said in a statement today.
He said police have opened an investigation paper under Section 427 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
