BUTTERWORTH: Police obtained a six-day remand order against four people, including two women, over the burglary at the home of influencer 'Kieda Crepe' which resulted in losses totalling RM800,000.
Acting Seberang Prai Utara district police chief Superintendent Zulkeflee Sulaiman said the four, aged between 20 and 27, were detained at the Kuala Lumpur courts early this morning.
"We have brought them back to the Butterworth Court here for remand this morning.
The four have been remanded for six days for further investigation, he said.
Zulkeflee said police managed to recover RM40,000 worth of the stolen jewellery.
"There is a possibility that part of the stolen loot had been sold.
The case is probed under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
On June 3, Kieda whose real name is Siti Nur Khalieda Yusra, took to social media to lament the incident on April 25.
She said no arrest was made despite 40 days having passed.
She lodged a police report, alleging that a 200kg metal safe, containing RM800,000 worth of jewellery, was carted away from her home in Pokok Sena.
