SEREMBAN: Police are tracking down a man involved in a vandalism case, who broke the wipers, side mirrors, and windshield of a car on Jalan Dataran Sentral 2, next to Seremban Gateway.
The incident that occurred around 4.30pm on Friday was recorded by the car's dashboard camera before it went viral on social media.
Seremban police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din said they received a report about the incident from a woman at 5.46pm.
"The woman, who works as a bank officer in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, said that her Perodua Alza was parked at the location while she went to work.
"She found her vehicle damaged with a broken windshield, broken front and rear wipers, and damaged side mirrors," he said in a statement on Sunday.
Hatta said the woman was believed to have parked her car at the scene before heading to work by carpooling with a colleague.
"The suspect has been identified, and efforts to trace and arrest him are ongoing. The police will not compromise with anyone who fails to comply with the laws.
"The case is being investigated under the Penal Code for committing mischief to another person's property," he said.
