Trader expected to be charged for abducting two girls
SUNGAI BESAR: A "pisang goreng" seller believed to have abducted two girls aged 6 and 8 at Taman Ikan Emas in Jeram has arrived at the magistrate's court here.
The man aged 32 clad in purple prison outfit was handcuffed and escorted by police and went into the building at 8.20am.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan had yesterday said the man will face two charges under Section 363 of the Penal Code for abducting a child from lawful guardianship.
On Sunday, Kuala Selangor acting police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Ambia Nordin said a local man had been arrested in connection with the case.
He said the police had caught the suspect in the Jeram area and he was remanded for five days to assisst in the investigations.
Checks revealed the suspect had a prior record of house break-ins.
Last Friday, it was reported that two children were abducted by a man
in a dark-coloured Perodua Bezza at Taman Ikan Emas.
The two children were abducted while playing outside their house.
They were found unhurt about an hour later in an adjacent neighbourhood.
