KUALA LUMPUR: A policeman, detained in connection with the murder of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris graduate Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah, will be charged at the Kuala Kubu Bharu Court tomorrow.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, when contacted, confirmed the matter.
"Yes, the suspect will be charged tomorrow under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder," he said.
After the arrest of the suspect, with a Lance Corporal rank, Nur Farah Kartini's body was found in an oil palm plantation near Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor around 6pm on July 15.
Nur Farah Kartini was reported missing on July 11. The victim, who worked at a car rental company, had delivered a rental car to a customer in a residential area in Tanjung Malim around 8am on July 10. She was seen leaving in a red car after completing the delivery.
The suspect had been remanded for seven days from July 16 until today to assist in the investigation according to Section 302 of the Penal Code, before it was extended for another seven days until July 29.
