Woman worried as husband is missing for five days after leaving for work

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman is deeply concerned after her husband has been missing from their home in Kampung Parit Haji Anuar, Air Hitam in Muar since he left for work five days ago.

Muhammad Faez Zainuddin, 33, has been unreachable by family members since he left at 8pm.

His wife, Hasnah Hussin, 29, said her husband had informed her he was assigned to deliver goods to Klang, Selangor.

"Usually, when he goes on an outstation trip, he uses a motorcycle to pick up a truck parked about two kilometres from our home.

"But that night, he left in a Kia Cerato with the licence plate WA 5152 B, saying he was going to deliver goods to Klang.

"Shortly after, the truck driver and his employer contacted me asking about Muhammad Faez's whereabouts. I was surprised because he had said he was going to pick up the truck," she said when contacted yesterday.

Hasnah said she and her family tried to contact her husband by phone and trace his route to where the truck was parked, but they were unsuccessful.

She filed a report at the Parit Sulong police station in Johor on July 26.

"Just a day before he went missing, we had a minor argument, which is normal in any marriage. That night, he left after saying goodbye as usual to me and our one-year-old child," she added.

Anyone with information is urged to contact 017-307 6224 or the nearest police station.
