DUNGUN: A 50-year-old woman suffering from severe depression, who was reported missing by her family in Kerteh, has been found safe.
Salina Abdullah, was found safe at noon not too far from Kerteh.
Her daughter, Maisarah Zailan, 29, confirmed the safe recovery of her mother yesterday.
"Thank you for all the messages and concern shown by everyone. We really appreciate them and are relieved that my mother is safe."
She said her family is grateful for the help offered by the public and netizens to locate Salina, who was reported missing on Monday.
"We are unable to provide details on where and how she was found but rest assured, she is safe", said the eldest of five siblings.
On Monday, the New Straits Times reported that Salina left home in Felda Ketengah 6 in a white Perodua Alza around 4pm, and could not be contacted.
Maisarah had told the NST that her mother suffers from diabetes and depression, and it's unusual for her to venture out of the house alone.
She said her mother would normally take one of her younger siblings with her but on that day, she went out alone as Maisarah's sister was asleep.
