LARUT: Police are looking for two of the seven men who allegedly took turns to rape a 15-year-old girl early this month.
Selama police chief Superintendent Sarudin Samah said the two suspects had been traced outside of Perak and were believed to be in the southern region.
Sarudin said on Nov 8, police arrested five suspects believed to be involved in the case at their homes in Selama.
"According to the victim's statement, she left her home without her parents' knowledge around 1am. She was taken by her boyfriend, whom she had met on social media, to an oil palm plantation where he worked.
"The victim was reportedly persuaded to engage in sexual activity, and after doing so, the victim was allegedly raped by her boyfriend's friends.
"She was reportedly sent back home by her boyfriend at dawn," he said during a press conference at the Selama police headquarters here today.
He said a few days later, the victim filed a police report after the incident was discovered by her family.
"Police arrested five suspects aged between 18 and 26. One of them is married and has a child."
He said those arrested had been charged at the Taiping Court under Section 375 of the Penal Code for gang rape.
