JOHOR BARU: The family of Azman Sulaiman, who was reported missing since last month, has offered an RM1,000 reward to anyone who can find the 48-year-old man.
The man, who is mentally challenged, was last seen on Aug 22 and he has not returned since.
His brother, Mohd Azlan, 38, said that despite being mentally challenged, Azman had previously been able to return home on his own when he went out alone.
"My brother (Azman) previously lived with our mother in Kampung Melayu Majidee.
"It was only in the past two years, after he developed diabetes, that he has been cared for by our eldest brother, Azlee, at Pangsapuri Desa Melayu here.
"When he lived with our mother, he was familiar with the area. So, when he went out, he wouldn't go far and would usually return home on his own," he said when contacted.
"We are worried that he might not be familiar with the area where Azlee lives. We are also concerned because his health is not good," he added.
Azlan said the last time Azlee saw Azman was around 8.30 pm on Aug 22 before he fell asleep.
"Azlee said that when he woke up around 10 pm, Azman was no longer at home. He waited, but Azman did not return.
"We then tried to look for Azman at all the places he usually visits but have not succeeded so far," he said, adding that a police report on Azman's disappearance was lodged the following day.

Johor Baru (South) district police chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat confirmed to have received the report lodged by the family of the missing man.
He added that the investigation is ongoing and the case has been classified as a missing person case.
