Furniture factory among 8 illegal structures demolished by DBKL [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: A furniture factory was among eight illegal structures torn down by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) in Jalan Tun Semarak yesterday.

In a Facebook post, DBKL said the illegal structures, which also included an animal pen, storage area, and squatter homes, were built on land owned by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

The operation was carried out in collaboration with the police, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Bhd, Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation and the Kuala Lumpur Lands and Mines Office.

"We will continue to take action and monitor the hotspots (for illegal structures) regularly."
