Murder of neighbour sparks manhunt for foreigner

KENINGAU: Police are searching for a foreigner known as Abdul Razak, 40, believed to be involved in a murder case on Jalan Lingkudau here last night (Sept 19).

Acting Keningau District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent Alizam Dalaman said that the suspect, Abdul Razak, lives in Kampung Linkudau, Keningau.

"Police request the public's assistance in locating the suspect. Anyone with information can contact investigating officer, Inspector Mohd Azrul Efizul Mohd Asri, at 012-9293148.

"Information can also be reported at any nearby police station," he said in a press statement today.

Earlier, a man who was helping a neighbour file a police report tragically ended up being attacked with a machete during the incident on Jalan Lingkudau last night.

In the incident, which occurred at 9.30pm, the 58-year-old victim was reported dead due to severe injuries inflicted from a machete by the husband of the neighbour he was assisting.
